This is the LARGEST wedding cake I have ever done! I've made some beautiful wedding cakes in the past, but this one takes the cake. It was FIVE tiers tall and I was terrifying to drive across town with it! I think I gave Jack a mini heart attack when I screeched a few times because it moved. The cake was simple, classic, and stunning. All the tiers were solid white, besides one tier in the middle that had the letter “G” covered in pearl dust.
Each tier had a strain of sugar paste pearls that I made using a silicone mold. I powdered using a paintbrush with the same pearl dust as the letter “G”. The final touches were a few simple pink roses.
Although the cake was so big that we had to use a cart to move it into the reception hall, I love how it came out and how beautiful it was on the display table!
