These are beautiful earrings that will look great with a pair of jeans or night out fit for a Duchess. They won't last long so shop now on my Etsy Shop Oak Tree Junction!
I have been wanting to make these Repli-Kate Earrings for awhile now. Everything I could find wasn't the correct shade of pink or wasn't removable like Kate's. So I do what I always do when I can't find what I am looking for, I make it. These beauties are inspired by the Kiki Morganite Cushion Drop and Diamond Earrings that the Duchess has been seen wearing on many occasions. The earrings are silver plated Cubic Zirconia hoops and the jewel is light pink glass in a cushion cut and in a silver plated setting.

This month Jack and I celebrated 10 years of marriage and to celebrate we are taking a trip to Hawaii in a few weeks. Puling from inspiration from the Duchess of Cambridge I made me a pair of her Red Coral earrings. I bought real red coral on the Oklahoma and Texas road trip a few months ago. I also purchased some very thin gold plated chain on Etsy.
I cut the chain in eight, two-inch lengths, a total of four per earring. I cut two more pieces in 1.5 inches. Using a gold ring I attached a piece of the red coal to the chain. Lastly, I added all of the pieces of chain to another loop before attaching to the gold plated French earring hook. I love how great they came out and decided to make more for my Etsy Shop, buy yours before they sell out! I am so excited about my latest Repli-Kate earrings!
The drop is made with a very light shade of pink-colored glass cushion-cut gem, set in a silver-plated setting. The small paved hoops are also silver plated and can be worn with or without the gem. These are perfect for work or a night out, but these beauties won’t last long so shop now! My newest Repli-Kates bring on the bling! These two pairs of earrings are inspired by the Princess Diana pair that the Duchess of Cambridge wears regularly and her emerald pair. The sapphires and emeralds are glass jewels set in an oval setting surrounded by glass crystals. The jewels are attached to matching crystal post, but can also be made into clip-ons. These beauties won't last so get your pair while you can here!
As many of my Instagram followers know I love the Duchess of Cambridge, formerly Kate Middleton’s style. I feel she is my generations, Princess Diana. The whole premise of my Etsy shop is replicating (or repli-kates as we say it) her jewelry. Even my blessing dress from a few years ago was inspired by her wedding dress. My birthday dress was inspired by her Black Lace dress too. Both of those were made from scratch, but I found my version of the DVF dress from all places but on Walmart for under $7! As soon as I saw the dress online it instantly reminded me of her DVF dress. She only wore this dress twice that we know of back in 2011, I’ve always thought it was a pretty dress and would be fun to “repli-kate” it. This great Walmart find was the perfect shade of green, but the buttons were gunmetal and I wanted them to be gold to match hers so that was an easy fix. After I replaced the buttons I tried the dress on with the V and buttons towards the front as it was meant to be worn, but it reminded me of an old fashion nightgown. SO I decided to try something I have never done before and turned it backward. It then looked just like the Kate dress! Her dress had the same “V” along the back with the buttons and a high neckline on the front. The only major difference was major difference was the buttons on the DVF dress go all the way to the bottom and I didn’t want to have to cut the dress and re-sew it with a fold so the buttons would make sense. In the end, the dress was so comfortable and very classy, I even paired it with my “repli-Kate” temple earrings I purchased from another great Etsy shop just like the Duchess did and wore it to a charity dinner! I am so excited for my newest Repli-Kate Earrings! These handmade Repli-Kate earrings are inspired by the Annoushka Pearl drops and Kiki Diamond Hoop Earrings. I think these might be my favorite earrings Kate wears and she wears them all of the time. There are a lot of similar pairs of earrings out there, but these are the only ones where the pearls are removable so the hoops can be worn on their own. The earrings are 18k gold Platinum filled with Swarovski Crystals. The pearls are freshwater. They would look great on Christmas day or a simple dinner for two. Earrings are available now on my Etsy shop Oak Tree Junction for only $25!
I am so excited about these earrings! They are the first pair of ‘repli-Kate" (Kate Middleton) earrings I have made. I've made a few dresses in the past and even bought earrings, but these are the first I've made. The Duchesses has been touring British Columbia, Canada the last few days and I fell in love with her outfit in Bella Bella, British Canada; from the boots to her awesome double kite earrings. I knew it would be difficult to find something similar to them so I figured that I could try to make my own pair. I bought brass metal and cut two of the two sizes of diamonds. Next, I used a metal hole jewelry punch and punched the holes for the hooks. After I filed the edges smooth, I hammered the earrings to complete the look before attaching them to gold plated earring hooks. I love how light they are and the little jingle they make when you wear them. I can't wait to make more repli-Kate earrings! For my blessing dress I wanted something simple, yet classic. I went to every store in town and I still couldn't find anything like I was wanting. I wanted a cream dress, with lace sleeves, knee length and preferably V-neck. My vision was inspired by the wedding dress Kate Middleton work in 2011. I love how simply elegant it was and I wasn’t to find something similar. I found some online that were pretty close but was way too far out of my press range, they looked too much like a wedding dress and I wasn't something that could be also casual. After weeks of searching I gave and decided to make my own. And why not, I have made lots of costumes in the past so why couldn't I make my own blessing dress! I found the perfect cream fabric that was slightly stretchy, but wouldn't wrinkle throughout the day. I found cream rose stretchy that would work perfect for the top. I found a dress pattern that I could alter to make exactly what I was envisioning. I used the pattern pieces that I needed to make my version of the dress and started sewing. Once I was finished I was completely in love with the dress and could not have been happier that I took the risk to make it myself. This really encourages me to start making my own clothing! I paired the dress with some new blue aqua heels and my favorite pearl earrings.
Jack was a little easier, he got to wear the light grey suit that he wore during my 30th birthday and ordered him a matching blue aqua tie and pocket square. My Godmother and her husband were the witnesses and wore a black and white with black polka dress with a coral belt and shoes. Her husband had a dark grey suit and a matching coral tie. My parents and closet friends also looked great in their coordinated outfits! |
