I first adjusted the collar to her since it wouldn’t be able to be adjusted once the ribbon was glued on. I then hot glued the ribbon a little at the time to the center of the collar. I tucked the ribbon under the plastic adjuster and glued down the ribbon in the center. To add a little more decoration to the collar I folded a piece of five-inch white ribbon then glued in place. I added a four-inch red folded ribbon and glued on top of the larger piece. I repeated the process with a white three-inch ribbon. The finishing touch of the collar was a little red heart rhinestone.
Our home is decorated and I am wearing my favorite heart sweater so it must be near the holiday of love! Duffey also needs a little St. Valentine’s Day flare so I decided to make her a pretty new collar. I bought a solid red collar at Petsmart and a spool of red heart ribbon got my trusty hot glue gun and it only took five minutes to make. Now Duffey can wear her heart on her sleeve, well on her neck!

I'm not afraid to admit my mom loves her dogs more than me, after all they mind better and they don't back talk! The perfect gifts for my mom always involve her dogs. Since we are still currently paying off all of our debt we have been keeping our gift cost low and reasonable. I found this cute idea on Pinterest where it was a frame that held four pictures with kids spelling out the word LOVE. Well since my mom has four dogs I thought it would be the perfect gift for her. Once day while she was at I would I went to her house with four half sized poster boards spelling out LOVE. I posed each dog and added one of the letter poster boards. After taking as many pictures as I could with each dog, I headed back home to start editing. I knew I wanted the photos to be in black and white, but since they are black dogs it took a while to get the shading and contrast to be just right. Once completed I sent them off to be printed. She was totally surprised and loved the framed pictures. Mothers are special and the original idea behind Mother's day was to acknowledge how special they are, try not to get to consumed in the commercialism of the holiday and take time to do something special and unique for your mother.
Happy Mother's Day to all of the Mothers out there!!! Today is my little puppy's birthday and I like to spoil her! Everyone deserves a special treat on their birthday and your furbaby should be no exception! These are a great dog approved cupcake perfect for your furry loved one.
