I know some people are not a fan of the gender reveal parties, I personally find them fun and I can't wait to have one, one day. I am also a huge fan of not having the party be the traditional baby gender colors (I'll probably won't be doing it that way either). The mom-to-be asked me to make a purple and lime green cake with matching cupcake. She also asked if I could put a few tools and some make-up on top. The Sides of the cake were quilted using a fondant cutter then adding a lime green pearl at the points using sugar water. The tools and make-up were made from fondant and dusted with silver and purple pearl dust. The chocolate cupcakes were kept simple with purple and green swirled buttercream.
What a fun way to announce they are having a boy or a girl!
