 Comic Con Make-up

11/22/2015

Well I was right! We totally looked great in our costumes!! Amber and Aaron’s make up really completed their costumes. Jack and I got off the easiest, he didn’t wear any make up and I only wore a darker version of what I normally wear. Amber and Aaron’s were a little more than that!

To create the Two-Face make, I first used a small lipstick brush (clean) and brushed a line down Aaron’s face. I then used a round sponge and using a bright pink brush I covered one half of Aaron’s face.

I used the same small brush to highlight some of his scars with a bright purple color. I added a little white to his eyebrow and used blue eyeliner and blue eyeshadow to darken the area around his eye. For the lips I had him put a lot of clapstick and brushed on the same purple eyeshadow on half of his lips. The last step was his hair, after dividing his hair in half I used hair spray to keep one side very slick down. I covered that side down with a paper down and spray the remaining side with white hair paint. Before it dried I made it look as wild as I could and added a few more sprays.

His completed look was so awesome and got so many compliments at the con!

Amber’s make up took a little longer. The first step with hers was to give her a base coat of white and blending it into her neck and ears.

I added a little blush and she did heavy black eyeliner. I used white, silver, and black eyeshadow to create the black circles around her eyes.

I used a red lip liner to create the Joker smile and went over it with the red from her costume make up kit she bought using a q-tip. At this point it was getting harder for her to do her make up because she kept making this creepy look freaking me totally out.

The last step of her make was to shade her eyebrows bright green with eyeshadow and do her hair.

To do her hair I used the same green eyeshadow as on her eyebrows and applied with a triangle sponge. I colored along her roots and fading it into her hair. Lastly we teased it and sprayed it into place.

I love how her make up came out and was so excited to see how people reacted when they saw her.  I think we were the best group costume there and were got lots of request for pictures! I’m really looking forward to next year’s Comic Con and yes we are already planning the costumes!!!
